Lakeland Police Department Office Renovation
The three-story Lakeland Police Department (LPD) headquarters was occupied in 1993 as a new 77,260 SF facility, and the interior had remained relatively unchanged during the 20+ years of utilization. While the Department's organizational structure had evolved, so had the need to re-evaluate space utilization within the facility. CMHM Architects was first hired to perform a facility space study to determine if operational needs could be provided within the existing building footprint, or if additional building area was needed. CMHM Architects determined a building addition was not required, and then provided architectural design services to produce bid/ construction documents for the interior renovation of the LPD Administration Building.
